Sundays
We gather every Sunday at 4:00 PM at New Life Baptist Church in Athens, Illinois — a separate congregation that has generously opened their building to us. Our service typically lasts about an hour and fifteen minutes.
What to Expect
Walk in and you'll find a relaxed, welcoming room. Some folks arrive early just to visit. Our pastor preaches in jeans and a button-up, and most everyone else is in jeans and a t-shirt.
Our worship follows a simple, Scripture-anchored pattern that reflects the Gospel each week:
God gathers us.
God convicts and restores us.
God invites us to prayer.
God speaks through His Word.
God communes with us at the Lord's Table.
God sends us back into the world with His blessing.
We sing, pray, confess sin, read Scripture together, hear the Word preached, and share Communion together weekly.
Kids Are Welcome
We're a young church, so we keep things simple. A nursery and toy room are available for little ones, with a parent’s supervision. During the service, we have clipboards with coloring sheets and crayons, plus small activity boxes with fidgets and other quiet items kids can grab. Families worship together here, and we're glad to have your kids with us.
Getting Here
207 West Street, Athens, IL 62613
Enter through the double doors on the east side of the building, facing Alliance Community Bank. Parking at the church is limited, but our neighbors have generously made their lots available to us. Alliance Community Bank, Miller Insurance Agency, and Mott & Henning Funeral Home all welcome our congregation to park in their lots, and each is just steps from the front door.
