The Gospel Cannot Be Stopped
In Acts 4, the early church faces its first major wave of organized opposition after Peter and John publicly proclaim that Jesus has risen from the dead. Threatened and interrogated by the religious leaders, the apostles refuse to stop speaking about Jesus because they know salvation is found in no other name. But Luke also shows us what life inside the church looked like: believers praying together, depending on the Holy Spirit, and living with deep generosity and unity. Through it all, Acts 4 reminds us that the risen Jesus is still building His church and empowering ordinary believers to boldly bear witness to Him in the world.
