Counterfeit Surrender
In Acts 5:1–16, we encounter one of the most startling passages in the New Testament: the account of Ananias and Sapphira. Through this sobering story, we see that God takes the holiness of His church seriously and is not fooled by outward appearances. Yet even in the midst of judgment, the gospel remains unstoppable as Christ continues to build His church and draw people to Himself.
